June 2017 Around Town

Welcome, lords and ladies, to the Montana Renaissance Festival! Step back to a time when romance and chivalry abound. Enter a magical world where knights, lords, ladies and fairies play, a time where people took pride in their craft and trade. Come thee hence and explore the Renaissance Festival!

The largest event of its kind in this area, the Montana Renaissance Festival takes place June 3 and 4 at ZooMontana, and it is a time to revel in the atmosphere of a 16th-century European country festival. Watch full-contact armored jousting tournaments, compete in Scottish and Irish heavy athletic competitions or renew your vows with the king and queen presiding. Visit the event website at MontanaRenFest.com or ZooMontana.org for complete event details.

Join us Saturday, June 3 for the 29th annual SpringFest at the Moss Mansion! This juried art festival features regional artists and their original handiwork for sale, antique booths, musical entertainment and a wide variety of refreshments for every taste. The day begins with a pancake breakfast at 8:30 a.m., booths opening at 9 a.m., and, as the sun powers up, so does the fun! Shop and mingle among the booths and the gardens in the shade of the trees on the lovely grounds of the Moss Mansion until 4 p.m. Enjoy artist demonstrations and lively musical acts throughout the day.

The mansion is also open all day at regular admission prices. Contact chairperson Stacey Jacobs for more information at SpringFestMM@gmail.com or call the museum at 406.256.5100.
