Montana Brews and BBQ to Feature 80 Beers from 34 Breweries

Montana Brews and BBQ was the first—and is the only—local craft beer festival to feature all Montana breweries. This year’s event, taking place July 15 at the lakeside by MetraPark, will feature 80 of Montana’s most captivating craft beers. With 34 Montana breweries represented, the event is shaping up to be the best yet. Craft beer will be provided in its freshest and truest form: kegs, delivered straight from the brewery.

The event features the entire gamut of microbrews meant to hit and expand taste buds. Along with local favorites, brewmasters use the event as a “tasting ground” for their newest creations to test the public perception on whether to bring the flavor in full time. Want more craft beer? This year’s grand prize will be free beer for a year! Mike at Carter’s Brewing will give the winner a growler full of beer every week for an entire year at his brewery.

What pairs best with a cold Montana Brew? Hot off the grill Montana barbecue and live music. The only thing more diverse than the beer is the food. With everything from Moink Balls (Big Guy BBQ) to Schnitzel (Octoberfest) to spit-roasted alligator (Cajun Phatty’s) to the most exotic grilled cheese sandwich (Montana Melt) created, you can find it here. Over 13 of Billings’ best food trucks and purveyors will be on-site competing for the most mouthwatering creations. Local band Downtime will play at this year’s event.

Admission and parking are free. A souvenir glass along with 10 drink tokens—each redeemable for one glass—is $25. Food is purchased on a cash basis through each vendor.
